عهد الأصدقاء (The Covenant of Friends) takes its name from the Spacetoon Arabic dub of the anime Romeo and the Black Brothers. Made in the anger and uncertainty that followed the peace talks, it pushes too_basicc’s sound into deconstructed club music and hyperpop.

Language surfaces in fragments, as chants, warnings, slogans and commands, and the tracks form a single narrative: memory (PLEASE DON’T FORGET), speech (SPEAK), those who left (BIBA بيبه), shame, the trap, the false equation of Peace=Surrender سلام=استسلام, danger, death, and BONES (عظام), where even the dead remain in the land.

The album closes with its wordless, three-part title track: the story of Nabil and Aabla, two friends from rival clans who survive the destruction of their communities. It is not a tragedy but a covenant, and a covenant to remember.
